We are seeking a Mental Health Mentor for our Extended Community Crisis Stabilization Program.General Responsibilities for Mental Health Mentor:
- Provide Crisis community stabilization services to youth and their families for the management or prevention of a crisis.
- Function as a role model to peers
- Exhibit competency in personal recovery and use of coping skills, serve as a consumer advocate, and provide consumer information and peer support for consumers in outpatient and inpatient settings
- Assists and guides consumers toward achievement of specific goals identified by the consumer and specified in the Individual Service Plan (ISP).
- Must be currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in human services field.
- Lived experience with Mental Health treatment.
- Be a certified Peer Recovery Specialist or gain certification within the first 6 months of
- Currently possess, or can acquire, base access
- Hold a valid driver's license with an acceptable DMV
- Experienced in using various computer software applications and/or Electronic Health Record (Preferred)
