Mental Health Counselor

The Mental Health Counselor will provide counseling services including but not limited to individual therapy sessions, diagnostic assessments, and treatment planning.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to understand client’s needs.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on client’s needs and diagnosis utilizing evidence-based practices, clinical experience, and patient history.
• Facilitate one-on-one therapy sessions, using evidence-based therapeutic techniques to help client’s gain insight and knowledge to their Mental Health, address their concerns, and achieve their goals.
• Review and evaluate patient progress in relation to measurable goals described in treatment and care plans.
• Collaborate with fellow clinicians and staff to ensure holistic care and coordinated treatment approaches.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and progress notes in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
• Stay current with the latest developments in Mental Health research and therapy practices, integrating new insights into your sessions.

Qualifications:

• Master’s Professional Counseling or Social Work degree preferred.
• Current valid state license to practice as a therapist in Ohio (LPC or LSW).
• Experience conducting group and individual therapy sessions
• Knowledge and experience in diagnosing a variety of disorders utilizing the DSM-5-TR.
• Understanding of various therapeutic modalities and techniques.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with diverse client populations.
• Empathetic, compassionate, and non-judgmental approach to therapy.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
