Mental Health Counselor

Maximus has immediate openings for Psychiatric Nurses (RN), Social Workers (LSWs & LISWs) or Counselors (LPCs & LPCCs).

This opportunity is part-time contract work, Mental Health professionals will administer Level II PASRR assessments and are compensated for each completed assessment. We are offering a wonderful opportunity to earn extra money, set your own schedule while providing a valuable service to the adult citizens of Tennessee. This contract does require a face-to-face assessment which generally takes place in a nursing facility or hospital.

We are looking for candidates primarily in the following counties: Henry, Weakly, Washington, Cocke, Giles, Lincoln, White, Cumberland, Hamblen, Hawkins, Greene and Sevier.

RN and Mental Health Counselor Responsibilities/ Duties/ Expectations:

• This position will administer Level II PASRR assessments and are compensated for each completed assessment.
• Assessment typically takes on average 2-3 hours.
• Must have flexibility to complete assessments within 48 hours.

RN and Mental Health Counselor Qualifications/Requirements:

• Candidates who are not RNs must have at least a Master’s degree in some type of human services or clinical discipline.
• Four years’ experience working with adults and older adults.
• Along with a minimum two years of direct adult clinical behavioral health experience, which includes diagnoses, assessments, and treatment planning.
• Windows PC is required to complete assessments.
• Conflict of Interest would include currently employed by the state of Tennessee, nursing home or long-term care facility and or being employed by a managed care organization.

MAXIMUS is a leader in providing specialized assessment services and is partnered with the State of Tennessee to administer PASRR (Pre-admission Screening and Resident Review) assessments.

PASRR is a federal requirement designed to ensure that individuals are not inappropriately placed into nursing homes for long term care services.
