MNA - Full-Time, 2nd Shift
The Medication Nurse Assistant (MNA) is responsible for administering medications and the management of medication supply for Residents.
The MNA works under the direction of a Nurse.
Essential job duties are as follows:
- Follows physician orders and administers regularly scheduled oral, topical, suppository, otic, nasal and ocular medications to Assisted Living Residents.
- Consults with the Nurse Manager to assess a resident who requests a "prn" (as needed) medication.
- Reports observations regarding changes in resident's status
- Maintains the medication cabinets/drawers and disposal of outdated and discontinued medications.
- Schedules re-fills
Qualifications:
- State of NH MNA license.
- One year of long-term care preferred.
- Visual and aural acuity to detect changes in conditions of residents and to read and recognize written medication orders and MAR's.
- Must be clean and professional at all times and follow the dress code, which prohibits tattoos and excessive jewelry.
A valid NH Drivers license, criminal background check and
drug testing is required.
