Medical Technologist I:Novel Immunoassay Program
Mission
Support the execution of sample accessioning, sample management, and daily assay execution for a new automated high-throughput Immunoassay Program at Nexus. You will serve as one of the core sets of “hands on deck” for the program. Promotion track to Med Tech available.
Outcomes
Within three weeks of start:
- Competency in new automated ELISA processes
- Competency across core CLIA requirements
- In partnership with another lab tech and under the supervision of a general supervisor, accession, run, and result up to 100 samples/day
Within 60 days of start:
- In partnership with another lab tech and under the supervision of a general supervisor, accession, run, and result up to 1000 samples/day
Within 90 days of start:
- Share feedback and bottlenecks with the team
- Gain competency in immunoassays and clinical chemistry assays, as needed
Skills & Abilities
- can quickly build familiarity with regulatory guidelines (CAP, CLIA, NY State)
- ability to run immunoassays
- Associate’s or Bachelor's degree meeting standards set forth by CAP/CLIA
- steady hands (<5% CVs)
- can learn quickly how to communicate and resolve issues
- willing to work 3x12 hour shifts
- highly dependable, day in and day out
