Form of workAbout the Position: This position is located at the Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, NC; Department of Emergency Medicine. The incumbent performs work in support of the care and treatment of patients in the emergency room, allowing clinical staff to focus on patient care needs unencumbered by specialized receptionist duties.
This working environment is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing receptionist duties such as receiving patients/visitors and answering telephone calls within a medical treatment facility; utilizing healthcare software systems to input and retrieve medical data; referring patients for treatment; scheduling, cancelling, and/or coordinating follow-up medical appointments with patient's provider.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
