What you’ll do in this role:
- Answer phones and assist nurses, patients, and doctors’ offices
- Order Medical Supplies for stock at the office with approval of the MSM
- Rotate new stock that comes into the office
- Check new stock of new nursing and therapy bags for new hires and make sure all the proper supplies are in bins
- Approve supply requisitions for patients to receive supplies
- Fill nursing and therapy requests
- Ship supplies to patients, nurses, and therapists
- Track new equipment issued to field staff through excel spreadsheet
- Fax scripts to other vendors when the patient has commercial insurance
- Clean and restock old/returned nursing and therapy bags and equipment
- Place special orders for patients online through other vendors with the approval of the MSM
We are looking for a compassionate Medical Supplies Assistant with:
- High school diploma/GED required
- One (1) year of experience in Medical Supplies
- Knowledge of durable medical equipment (DME)
