General Summary: A nonexempt position responsible for the daily review of all patient charts to verify that pertinent information is available for the patient’s appointment.
Position: Full-Time
Hours: M-F, 8-5
Wage: $15/hr.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Performs review of patient Medical Records prior to the office appointment to verify all pertinent information is located in the patient’s electronic chart for viewing at the patient’s appointment.
- Responsible for any documentation to be scanned.
- Performs routine checks on the fax machine via computer and retrieves the incoming information and files in the patient chart or forwards to appropriate personnel.
- Responsible for the timely completion of patient forms, et al., physical therapy forms, medical equipment request forms, and home health forms. Receives the forms, delivers to the physician for timely completion, and faxes or mails the forms back to the appropriate parties.
- Answers telephone in a professional, courteous, articulate, and business manner.
Experience: Minimum of 6 months experience in the health information field preferred.
