Our company is looking for dedicated, work-ethic driven, reliable people. We handle and process Medical Records requests for health care providers in compliance with the many federal and state requirements for medical release of information (ROI) services. Our team of ROI Technicians takes pride in providing service that is second to none, with a personal touch.
ALL new positions will be temporary, part-time with the possibility to transition to permanent, full-time. Hours for part-time will be based on training and work load.
Daily responsibilities and job requirements
- Accessing and copying all forms of Medical Records with accuracy and focus in both paper and electronic formats
- Interacting professionally and courteously with patients, professional requestors, and medical staff both directly and through frequent telephone communications
- Complying with all necessary protocols to meet requirements of HIPAA, HITECH, and other state and federal laws regarding protected health information
- Reasonable keyboarding skills are critical for both electronic Medical Records systems use and company software use
- Daily attendance and reliable transportation are needed to meet scheduling and legal requirements.
Qualifications
- Prior experience with Medical Records is helpful, but not essential
- People with an eye for details and who like to read and analyze have an affinity for this work in this “niche” industry—we prize these traits!
- Willingness to learn and simply do the job without drama is a huge plus, as much as any other qualification
- MUST have a valid Driver's License and transportation.
- Must be able to travel to Baton Rouge for training. Company will pay hotel and gas expenses.
We provide company medical scrubs, mileage reimbursement for travel between our clients’ facilities, and benefits for full-time, vested employees such as health insurance, paid holidays, and annual and sick leave.
All new hires will be subject to a probationary training period of no less than 90 days. Salaries are DOE.
