Medical Records Clerk (Full Time)
The Medical Records Clerk manages the workflow and staff related to Health Information (Medical Records). This includes but not limited to maintaining Medical Records in accordance with federal and state guidelines, as well as in accordance with our established policies and procedure. Additionally, manages the receptionist and unit clerks staff including their work performance.
Ensures that all clinical records contain sufficient information to identify the resident; a record of the resident’s assessment; the plan of care and services
Initiates and participates in the development of facility policies and procedures to ensure that Medical Records are complete, accurately documented, readily accessible and systematically organized.
Inspects closed records for completeness
Manages and oversees the schedule for the receptionist and unit clerks.
Knowledgeable in data collection, data analysis methodology, and performance improvement methods needed to support and lead performance improvement projects.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have previous experience in a long-term care facility or other healthcare related facility.
- Knowledge of Medical Records and terminology.
- Preferred RHIA, HIM Credentials
- Must have prior Medical Records experience
Schedule: 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday
