Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival at the medical office
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate staff member
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure patient satisfaction
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details
- Maintain patient records and update as necessary
- Assist with medical administrative tasks, such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and follow up on patient appointments
- Handle billing and payment processing
Skills:
- Proficient in using medical office software
- Strong knowledge of medical administrative support procedures and practices
- Experience with medical scheduling and managing appointment calendars
- Familiarity with general office tasks, including filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient care and satisfaction
- Ability to handle phone systems and effectively communicate with patients and staff
