Are you an experienced Medical Receptionist looking to join a thriving private pediatric practice?
The team member(s) we are looking to hire have customer service representative experience. They have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. They have an incredible attention to detail, organizational skills, and have experience with electronic administration software. They have experience answering multiple phone lines. Their knowledge allows them to be resourceful and to proactively address issues as they arise. The ideal candidate(s) will be well versed in medical terminology related to pediatrics.
This role can be filled by either a single, full-time or (potentially) two part-time staff members.
Responsibilities:
- Greet all patients and visitors, as the first point of contact
- Register patients and confirm guarantor demographic and insurance information
- Determine and collect patient co-payments on amounts due (current and past)
- Prepare encounter form(s) for charge entry for services rendered
- Schedule appointments according to office/provider preferences and the needs of patients
- Answer telephones, take messages, route callers, and etc.
- Maintain patient medical records according to current required standards
- Obtain patient authorization for transfer of any/all PHI
- Perform basic office duties such as sorting mail, copying, filing, faxing, etc.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in customer service, ideally in a healthcare setting, including knowledge of multi-line telephones, insurance, etc.
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work independently and on a team
- Computer and EHR knowledge
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
