Medical Receptionist (salary $17-$21/hour)

Adult and Pediatric Dermatology has 2 new locations in Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti and Brighton/Howell.

Our Medical Receptionists are the first point of contact for our patients, so we are looking for warm, friendly, and engaging individuals who enjoy working with people.

Our Medical Receptionists also have excellent attention-to-detail and problem-solving skills, and are valued for how essential they are to helping establish and coordinate the best possible clinic experience for our patients.

Position summary:

Provide support to the clinic operations with timely and courteous assistance.

Support front desk duties and check in and check out responsibilities.

Answer calls in a warm and professional manner, document service requests, triage patient phone calls, schedule appointments according to provider guidelines, confer with patients to obtain accurate billing and demographic information.

As part of a growing team, cross training in other areas of practice in order to achieve smooth clinic flow will also be essential.

Exemplify excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively multi-task.

Supports other offices, attends meetings, and training as assigned.

Process payments from patients.

High school education or equivalent, 6 months related experience and basic computer skills preferred. Strong verbal and written communication, human relations sensitivity, listening and telephone etiquette skills, medical terminology knowledge desirable, accurate keyboarding skills, ability to promote and maintain the highest level of patient relations and patient confidentiality.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
