We are looking for a dedicated and efficient Medical Office Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our medical office, including scheduling and coordinating appointments, greeting patients, and managing patient records. The Medical Office Receptionist will also be responsible for ensuring the office operations run smoothly, maintaining patient satisfaction, and adhering to legal regulations. This role requires a high level of professionalism, as you will be the first point of contact for patients. You should have excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a calm and pleasant demeanor in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Manage patient appointments by scheduling and confirming appointments, and handling cancellations or reschedules.
- Greet patients upon arrival, assist with check-in procedures, and provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain patient records by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
- Ensure the smooth operation of the office by ordering supplies, maintaining office equipment, and managing office appearance.
- Handle patient billing, including processing insurance claims, handling invoices, and resolving billing issues.
- Assist with the preparation of reports and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and patient management software.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare systems, and medical office procedures.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
