We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent patient service and administrative support in a medical office setting. This is a vital role that requires strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage
- Collect patient co-pays and process payments
- Assist with medical record management, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
Skills:
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and empathy
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, such as Epic
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Familiarity with office equipment, including phone systems and computers
