Medical Receptionist

MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST

Busy private Pediatric practice located in Long Beach seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our hard working team. Hours would be rotating Monday- Friday. (Ex. 7:45am-4:00pm or 10:00am-6:00pm) with rotating Saturdays from 7:45am-12:30pm. Bilingual preferred (English & Spanish).

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must be able to handle high volume of calls
• Schedule appointments
• Check patients in and out
• Scan documents into the appropriate patient chart and assign to the doctor when necessary
• Retrieve and process request for referrals, prescriptions, prior authorizations, and appointments
• Must be Professional, Detailed Orientated, & Well organized
• Greet patients warmly and professionally
• Verify and update insurance information
• Collect and post all payments (copays, deductibles, coinsurance, & past due balances)
• Electronic Medical records experience preferred (EclinicalWorks experience a plus)
• 2 Years experience in pediatrics preferred

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
