Medical Receptionist

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients, managing appointments, and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk.

Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate department
- Schedule patient appointments using various scheduling systems such as Epic, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or eClinicalWorks
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update information as needed
- Assist with medical billing and coding tasks as required
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers or specialists
- Manage patient flow and ensure timely check-in and check-out processes
- Handle sensitive and confidential patient information with utmost discretion

Skills:
- Proficient in using medical office software systems such as Epic, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or eClinicalWorks
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle high call volumes
- Previous experience working at the front desk in a medical setting is preferred

Pay: $17.97 - $21.64 per hour
