Omni Medical Center is a small business in Upper Marlboro, MD. Our team is professional, licensed and board certified to provide medical care. Our goal is to provide comprehensive care to our community we serve. Each patient is treated individually and cared for like a family. We provide services including primary care, focused on long term out come for chronic disease like diabetes, high blood pressure, COPD, obesity and many more. We also welcome walk-ins and same day appointment.
Our medical practice is looking for energetic, computer literate, focus on detail, self learning individual to work at the front desk. Some key responsibilities for this role include:
1. **Patient Interaction:** Greeting patients, answering phone calls, and providing assistance to individuals who visit the healthcare facility.
2. **Appointment Scheduling:** Managing appointments for patients, including scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling appointments as needed.
3. **Patient Registration:** Collecting and updating patient information, including personal details, insurance information, and medical history.
4. **Insurance Verification:** Verifying patient insurance coverage and processing necessary paperwork related to insurance claims.
5. **Front Desk Duties:** Handling administrative tasks at the front desk, such as maintaining a tidy reception area, managing incoming and outgoing mail, and directing patients to the appropriate departments.
6. **Communication:** Acting as a liaison between patients and healthcare professionals, relaying messages and ensuring effective communication within the medical office.
7. **Billing and Payments:** Assisting with billing inquiries, processing payments, and providing information about financial policies.
8. **Medical Records:** Maintaining and updating patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
9. **Problem Resolution:** Addressing patient concerns and resolving issues related to appointments, billing, or other administrative matters.
10. **Multitasking:** Medical receptionists often need to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, such as answering phones, checking in patients, and managing administrative duties.
Effective communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, and a friendly demeanor are important qualities for individuals in this role. Medical receptionists play
a crucial role in creating a positive and efficient experience for patients as they navigate through the healthcare system. They contribute to the smooth functioning of the medical office by managing administrative tasks and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers.
