We are seeking a skilled and organized Optometric Office Receptionist to join our team. As a Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support in a medical setting. Your role will involve greeting patients, scheduling appointments, managing patient records, assisting opticians, and ensuring the smooth operation of the office.
```Duties:```
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Collect patient information, update medical records, and verify insurance coverage
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate personnel
- Provide administrative support such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Assist with medical billing, insurance payment posting and optical orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the office area
```Skills:```
- Proficient in using computer systems and software applications
- Knowledge of medical and optical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Experience working in a medical, dental, or optometric office setting preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff
- Familiarity with phone systems and handling multiple phone lines
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with medical scheduling software is a plus
