Medical Office Front Desk

PentaHealth, located in southeastern Pennsylvania, is seeking Medical Office Front Desk receptionists for our floating position! This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, and no late evenings. This is a floating position. We currently are looking for candidates to float among our offices in Coatesville, Downingtown, Exton, Lionville, West Chester, and Newtown Square, so reliable transportation is essential. You are guaranteed your 40-hours a week, and when permanent positions open within our offices, our floaters are usually the candidates to fill those spots.

Requirements for a Patient Service Representative at PentaHealth:

• Minimum 18 years of age
• Preferred experience in a Medical Office environment.
• Working knowledge of secretarial procedures, organizational policies and procedures, systems, and office management practices.
• Some knowledge of CPT & ICD-9/10 coding preferred.

Responsibilities of our Medical Office Front Desk Receptionist:

• Perform day to day administrative functions and general office duties but not limited to word processing, copays, filing, faxing, answering phones and data entry.
• Welcome and great patients/clients/visitors to the department in a manner that is helpful and friendly; determines purpose of visit and direct them to the appropriate place or department.
• Answer incoming calls and transfer calls to appropriate departments.
• Schedule or reschedule appointments for patients whether in person or on the phone.
• Enter all information when scheduling new patients like address, insurance information to emergency contacts etc.
• Assist in checking in and checking out patients and scheduling for any type of testing and/or follow ups.
• Other clerical tasks as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time/Monday-Friday (no late nights, no weekends!)

Pay: Starts at $19.00 per hour (and up based on experience)
Bonus: $500 retention bonus after your first sixty days of employment
