Job description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate experienced Healthcare professional to serve as a full-time assistant office manager. This individual will function as an integral part of our management team and work directly with our office manager to further the mission of the practice. We are looking for someone who loves to work with people and can provide exceptional customer service in a friendly patient centric healthcare environment. Competitive candidates should be highly organized and detail oriented, take initiative, be responsible and dependable, possess excellent communication, management, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing daily operations of the non-clinical front desk and back-office employees.
- Managing physicians’ schedules
- Supervising, training, and evaluating office staff
- Troubleshooting patient problems/complaints (operations related, protocol related or billing related)
- Recommending, developing, and implementing improvements for the practice
- Serve as a liaison between staff and the primary manager/physician partners
- Ordering supplies for the practice
- Recruitment of medical staff and front office staff and arranging interviews with physicians on an as needed basis.
- Enhances operational effectiveness, emphasizing cost containment without jeopardizing important innovation or quality of care.
- Represents the practice in its relationships with other health organizations, government agencies, and third-party payers.
- Assists the office manager in managing all practice managed care relationships, including monitoring of related reimbursement, negotiation with third party payers, provider credentialing, and maintenance of contracts.
- Works with office manager to assure that vendor benefits packages (health/dental, 401(k)) liability, malpractice insurances are reviewed yearly to assure that we are within budget and make recommendations accordingly as to any changes that should be considered.
- Resolves any administrative and HR problems and keeps lines of communication open with staff to ensure employee morale and a professional work environment.
- Maintains strictest confidentiality and ethics
Requirements:
- Previous EMR/EHR experience, and proficiency with Microsoft office and outlook required.
- A minimum of 1 year experience as a Team Lead or Manager in a Healthcare setting is required.
- 2-3+ years of progressive on the job experience in a non-clinical healthcare capacity.
- Ability to travel to all surgery center locations (Bloomfield, Farmington, Southington, Cromwell).
Details/Added Benefits:
- Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8 hour shift within the hours of operation (between 6:45am – 5:00pm | 40 hours per week)
- Direct placement, permanent position
- Salary: $55,000 - $58,000/yr. based on related experience
