Job description

Alliance HealthCare System is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician. The Medical Laboratory Technician will assist with laboratory duties under the direction and guidance of supervisory personnel.

Responsibilities include:

• Daily monitoring and recording of temperatures, humidity and tank pressure.
• Process specimens for testing, i.e. specimen receipt through billing system and LIS, specimen storage, pending lists, and specimen disposal.
• Works cooperatively in a team environment supporting the quality of the lab services.
• Adhere to the laboratory’s safety program.
• Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance, analysis, or reporting of assay results.

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Laboratory Science.
• Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution with 3 years of experience in a CLIA laboratory under direction of a Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technologist.
