Our busy Medical Testing Laboratory is currently seeking an energetic and detail-orientedMedical Laboratory Scientist(MLS)/Medical Laboratory Technician(MLT). In this role, you will perform various tasks involving generalist work that will include specimen collection, patient testing, maintenance, as well a quality and assurance and maintaining appropriate documentation. On a daily basis, you will also have the opportunity to deliver excellent patient service, answer patient questions, act as a resource for patient information and strengthen the relationship between the patient and our entire medical facility.
This second shift position provides testing services for all aged patients, in any hospital location including the emergency department and local off-site collections at nursing facilities as a member of a fast-paced team effort of highly dedicated staff members.
Effective 06/21/2023, there is no longer a need for either vaccination confirmation or a medical/religious exemption.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in medical terminology/Medical Laboratory science or a science filled with with subject content specific to CLIA requirements and graduation from an accredited medical technician or medical technology/Medical Laboratory science program is required.
Experience:
- Experience as a generalist.
Licensure, registration, or certification:
- Certification as an MT, MLS, or MLT is required.
- Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathology is preferred
