Job Description
The Medical Front Office Representative role is a critical role within a new Medical Center in Rancho Santa Margarita. You will be joining a professional healthcare team that is wellness centered with a focus on Integrative Medicine. We also offer IV Therapy, Regenerative Medicine, Comprehensive Physicals, Vein & Vascular Treatments, Hormone Therapy, Peripheral Neuropathy, Vitamin Shots, Peptide Therapy and Functional Nutrition. We are looking for a candidate with Front Office experience and excellent customer service and communication skills. Preference will be given if you have experience with eClinicalWorks EMR.
Qualifications
· HS Diploma or GED
· Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

· Excellent customer service and communication skills
· Empathetic to patient’s needs and concerns
· Highly motivated and organized
· Ability to work independently and prioritize daily tasks’
· Experience with insurance verification
· Experience with basic desktop software, medical practice management, and electronic medical record systems, specifically eClinicalWorks
· Fluent in English. Fluent in Spanish as well is a plus
· Excel under pressure with attention to detail
· Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA rules and regulations
· At least 1 year of experience in a medical office
Responsibilities
· The Front Office Representative provides support to the clinic and physician(s) in the areas of patient care by performing a wide variety of administrative duties
· The Front Office Representative greets the patient and guides them through the check-in and check-out process
· As the first impression for patients and visitors, they represent the clinic in a warm, welcoming, and professional manner
· Greet and direct patients and other visitors in the office
· Maintain work area, waiting room, and patient flow
· Answer incoming phone calls
· Monitor and respond to front desk email messages
· Identifies special needs and takes appropriate steps to ensure patient appointments are scheduled according to set guidelines
· Check in patients to include updating and verifying insurance and demographic information in the EMR (eClinicalWorks)
· Check out patients to include collecting co-pays or deductibles and reviewing billed charges
· Verify insurance benefits and obtain any necessary prior authorizations to ensure coverage of services provided
· Verify end of day reports and balance cash drawer

This is a part-time position with somewhat flexible hours. The role will transition to a full-time position as the need increases. The schedule will be negotiated to accommodate both the candidate and the practice needs
The Pay Range is $20.00 to $25.00/hour based on experience
