Medical Coder

Zwanger-Pesiri Radiology is hiring for Medical Coders.

Radiology experience preferred

Tuesday through Saturday 8:30am - 4:30pm

Farmingdale, NY

Coder job responsibilities:

• Reading and analyzing patient records
• Determining the correct codes for patient records
• Using codes to bill insurance providers
• Interacting with physicians
• Keeping track of patient data over multiple visits
• Managing detailed, specifically-coded information
• Maintaining patient confidentiality and information security
• Collaborate with the billing department to ensure all documentation is accurate and precise

Essential duties:

• CPC certification required
• Familiarity with ICD-10 codes and procedures
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy preferred
• Excellent typing skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Ability to communicate, both verbal and written
