LifeCare Therapy Services, LLC is seeking a billing/collections specialist for our organization. LifeCare Therapy Services is certified by QUADA as an Outpatient Physical Therapy (OPT) provider, also referred to as a Rehabilitation Agency (RA). The ideal candidate for this position is an individual who pays attention to detail, is highly organized and can communicate effectively.
Position Objectives
- Maintain aging to be current, research unpaid claims, and assist in the resolution of denials, non-payments, and partial payments.
- Communicate with insurance companies and patients to follow up on pending claims and explain patient financial responsibility.
- Set up weekly payment agreements for active patients with a co-payment amount that is due.
Position Requirements
- Understand and maintain compliance with CMS regulations for billing Medicare.
- Be able to read and interpret Remittance/EOB
- Understand and apply regulatory and contractual responsibilities when billing patients
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and aptitude for learning new software.
- Medical billing experience 3-5 years required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.00 per week
