SalaryPariser Dermatology Specialists has been providing dermatology services to the Hampton Roads community for over 75 years. Today, Pariser Dermatology Specialists has seven locations across Hampton Roads and is one of the largest independent dermatology practices in the country.
We are currently hiring a Medical Billing Specialist to work in our Norfolk office. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years Medical Billing and claims processing experience. Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
Job Description
- Answer patient inquiries
- Follow up on outstanding A/R for all payers
- Research and write appeals to insurance companies on denied accounts
- Excellent interpersonal skills; friendly and engaging self-starter that works well in high pressure situations
- Posting and balancing of patient and insurance payments
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Medical Billing
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience in customer service
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette
- Ability to problem solve in a confident manner
- Excellent interpersonal skills; friendly and engaging self-starter that works wells in high pressure situations
- Allscripts Practice Management System experience a plus
- Dermatology experience a plus
