SalaryJboutique medical practice focused on serving the LGBTQIA+ community with a unique stigma free, status neutral, and stigma free model of care (we also see patients who do not identify as LQBTQIA+). We offer primary care services as well as STI testing / treatment, gender affirming care, HIV prevention and treatment, and DoxyPEP. Our practice is expanding with additional physical locations opening in the near future as well as the addition of mobile outreach.
We are seeking to add a full-time medical coder and biller with experience using Athena Health EMR and interacting with various insurance companies. This role will assign appropriate codes to encounters and file initial medical claims following current billing guidelines. Once the claim has been adjudicated, this role will resolve any disallowed, unpaid, or underpaid line items. The individual will work directly with insurance payors to resolve claim related issues and will serve as the point of contact for patients who have billing related issues.
A successful candidate for this role is someone who is well organized, well versed with relevant ICD-10, CPT, and HCPC codes, has outstanding written and verbal communication skills, has the ability to follow company policies, and has a passion to be a part of team expanding access to health care for underserved communities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
