Rosenfeld Van Wirt, P.C. is an independent medical practice focused exclusively on patients in the long-term care setting. The practice was founded in 2013 to specialize in the care of post-acute patients in nursing homes, skilled nursing, rehabilitation and other long-term facilities. Rosenfeld Van Wirt, P.C. operates in over 40 facilities in eight counties in southeastern Pennsylvania.

Position Summary: The Medical Biller prepares new charges, completes insurance verification, maintains patient records, and supports collections on outstanding accounts receivables.

Education/Qualifications Required:

• Submits claims to insurance companies for payment
• Works directly with the insurance company, the patient and healthcare provider to get a claim processed and paid
• Submits secondary billing in a timely manner with appropriate supporting documentation
• Manages proper submission of all documents in a timely fashion
• Demonstrates courtesy and helpfulness toward patients and their families
• Reviews and appeals denied and unpaid claims
• Payment posting
• Manages collections and unpaid accounts
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 2 years of previous billing experience required including Medicaid/Medical Assistance
• Long-term care industry experience preferred but not required
• Strong knowledge of ICD 10/CPT coding (certification preferred but not required)
• Commit to the highest level of business and patient confidentiality possible adhering to all HIPAA and security guidelines when accessing and sharing patient information

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
