Job Description:
We are currently seeking a full-time Medical Biller to join our team at NutriHealth Weight Loss Clinics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for insurance claim submission, denial reworks, and payment posting, ensuring accurate and timely processing of medical billing transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit insurance claims electronically and/or by mail.
- Review denied claims and perform necessary reworks to resubmit for reimbursement.
- Post insurance and patient payments accurately into the billing system.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility.
- Follow up on outstanding claims and unpaid accounts receivable.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance regulations and billing guidelines.
- Collaborate with clinical staff and other departments to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Assist with insurance credentialing and provider enrollment processes.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in medical billing software, eClinical experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical billing processes, including claim submission, denial management, and payment posting.
- Knowledge of insurance billing regulations, including CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) certification a plus.
