Medical Billing / Insurance Specialist/Medical Coder
We are looking for an individual who has experience with medical billing and submitting insurance claims. This is a mostly remote position with the occasional need to come into the office (once or twice a month without a set schedule). This remote work will be part-time with the potential to grow into a full-time position. The majority of the work can be done anytime or day of the week, but there may be instances when you will need to interact with clients and payers during normal business hours. We also ask that you be present for an 8:30am 30 minute meeting twice a week.
Minimum Qualifications (these are a must, please don't apply if you do not have these qualifications):
- Insurance billing experience
- Experience billing with the Athena EMR platform
- Experience processing claims with insurance companies
- Experience working through rejected claims
- Detail oriented
- Excellent multi-tasking abilities
- Knowledgeable in insurance terms and Jargon
- Professional phone and email étiquette
- Strong customer service skills
- Team player
- Reliable
- Punctual
