Mingus Mountain Youth Treatment Center, is seeking an experienced Biller that thrives in a fast pace environment. This position is a remote position.
Your Role: The Biller is responsible for handling the financial and administrative aspects of billing. The Biller plays a crucial role in ensuring that services provided are properly billed and reimbursed by insurance companies or other funding sources.
Responsibilities:
· The Biller works closely with our clients and their families to obtain and verify insurance information, ensuring that services are covered by the insurance plan.
· Responsible for accurately preparing and submitting insurance claims and invoices for services provided.
· Verifying insurance coverage, gathering necessary documentation, and following up on outstanding claims to ensure timely payment.
· Maintains comprehensive records of services provided, including treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant documentation.
· Ensure that all records are accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
· Processes payments received from insurance companies or other funding sources.
· Reconcile payments with invoices and resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise.
· Must have a solid understanding of billing regulations and guidelines.
· Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and coding standards (e.g., Current Procedural Terminology, Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System).
· Collaborates with therapists, clients, and their families to gather necessary information, clarify billing-related matters, and address any questions or concerns. May also communicate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to resolve billing-related issues.
· Responsible for generating financial reports related to billing activities, such as revenue analysis, accounts receivable aging, and reimbursement trends.
You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years' billing experience
- Applicant must have experience with medical billing and claims denial
- Candidate must possess exceptional computer skills and be a self-starter
