As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical procedures and services. Your role will contribute to the financial success of our medical practice by ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement. ```Responsibilities``` - Review and analyze medical records to determine appropriate coding for procedures and services - Assign accurate diagnostic and procedural codes using ICD-9 and other coding systems - Submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by paper - Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, and resubmit claims as necessary - Process payments from insurance companies and patients - Maintain patient billing records and update as needed - Collaborate with medical office staff to ensure accurate documentation and coding - Provide support in resolving billing inquiries or disputes ```Skills``` To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills: - Proficiency in medical coding, including knowledge of ICD-9 coding system - Strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures - Experience with medical billing software/systems - Knowledge of medical collection processes - Familiarity with medical records management and coding guidelines - Attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes - Excellent organizational and time management skills If you are a dedicated Medical Biller with a passion for accuracy and efficiency, we would love to hear from you.
