```Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in various clinical and administrative tasks. If you are detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills, and are passionate about helping others, we would love to hear from you.
Duties:
- Perform basic medical procedures such as taking vital signs, administering medication, and collecting specimens
- Assist healthcare professionals with examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Prepare patients for appointments by obtaining medical history and updating patient records
- Provide patient education on medications, procedures, and general health information
- Perform medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling insurance claims
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures
Skills:
- Proficiency in phlebotomy and initiating IV lines
- Knowledge of medical coding and billing processes
- Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology
- Ability to administer medications accurately and safely
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate and empathetic approach
- Experience in providing direct patient care in a hospital or clinical setting
- Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is highly desirable
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred but not required
