Medical Assistant

American Skin Institute, a busy multi-location Dermatology practice with an attached Ambulatory Surgery Center, is seeking an amazing Certified Medical Assistant to join our team in the Sherman Oaks office.

Office specializes in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. Medical assistant duties include preparation for medical and cosmetic procedures, minor surgeries, and assistance with patient examinations.

-Certified Medical Assistant w/ 2+ years' experience

- Medical experience required

Tasks include/not limited to:

• Rooming patients, disinfecting/cleaning in between set ups, for both cosmetic and medical procedures.
• Assist in both cosmetic and medical procedures (lasers, excisions, etc.)
• Perform venipunctures.
• Charting for providers in EMA
• Occasional patient chart scribing
• Sending prescriptions, helping with prior authorizations
• Retain knowledge of all procedures offered.
• Be able to communicate kindly and effectively with patients.
• Willing to occasionally travel to Westlake Village location.
