The Michigan Interventional Pain Center is seeking an eager, experienced and organized Medical Assistant, who will be responsible for welcoming patients and visitors to the medical office by greeting patients and visitors in person and on the telephone and answering inquiries or referring questions to other staff members. Experience with verifying insurance is a plus.

Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional patient service by greeting and assisting patients in a professional and friendly manner.
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant patient information.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean, stocked, and organized.
- Assist with documentation to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, and handle patient inquiries.
- Perform medical administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and maintaining electronic medical records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting or similar role is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
