Medical Assistant - Ivf/Fertility Practice

Job Description:

The IVFMedical Assistantwill be responsible for assisting in the care of patients exploring their fertility options as well as assisting in coordination of various office activities. This includes scheduling, customer service, in addition to assisting the physician to provide the highest level of patient care. The ideal candidate is bilingual and should have previous experience in a doctor’s office or medical setting.

Requirements:
-Valid Medical Assistant Certification
·High School Diploma or equivalent required.
·Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office or medical field required.
·Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines.
·Must be able to multi-task and prioritize duties.
·Computer skills required to perform job duties.
·Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with patients and other employees.
·Must possess good organizational skills and be able to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
·Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Scheduling patient appointments and procedures
• Effective communication with the patient both written and verbal
• Phlebotomy
• Assisting the physician during office and surgical procedures
• Independently coordinating and conducting patient education sessions (i.e. medication teaching)
• Being a liaison between the physician and the patients, throughout their infertility journey
• Bilingual - English/Spanish and English/Haitian Creole candidates preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Per diem

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
