Responsible to complete clinical and administrative tasks within the physician office setting. Job duties may include: patient assessment including vital signs and administration of injections, scheduling and chart preparation, EMR documentation, and other tasks as delegated by the supervisor.
Education
Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Completion of a Certificate/Diploma/Degree Program in a Healthcare related field
Registration/Certification/Licensure:
Family & Friends CPR and Act 33/73 clearances

I. Specific Job Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Performs patient assessment and physical examination appropriate to age and disability of patient and pertinent to the patient’s condition. Documents findings in EMR.
- Responsible to schedule patients based on physician availability and/or acuity of patient.
- Obtains authorizations, updates insurance information and reconciles daily charge sheets in a timely, efficient manner.
- Prepares patient charts according to physician specific protocols and office schedule.
- Appropriate utilization of EMR for verification of med refills, call processing and progress notes.
