Medical Assistant - Dermatology Gap Year

Dermatology and Skin Care Associates (DSCA) located minutes from Boston in Wellesley, MA offers an elite paid Bridge Year/Gap-Year Program for top students who have graduated from college and are applying to medical school. We are currently looking to hire a candidate that can start in January 2024.

This one- to two-year program in a fast-paced environment delivers a unique opportunity to work closely alongside caring Ivy-League educated doctors and gain clinical knowledge before transitions to medical school. Students learn patient history taking, fundamentals of diagnosis and treatment of many dermatologic diseases in an exciting hands-on opportunity.

-Be paired with a physician mentor for the duration of the program.

-Obtain patient history and chief complaint.

-Assist with biopsies, surgical procedures; learn sterile technique.

-Receive training and use electronic medical records.

-Answer patient phone calls and schedule patient visits.

-Assist with patient education on treatment plans and medications.'
