Breathe Clear Institute is a private practice office that specializes in Ear, Nose and Throat conditions located in Torrance, CA. We are seeking to hire a highly motivated Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing medical care to patients. You will work closely with our healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive the quality care they deserve. Responsibilities
- Interview patients and document medical history and record vital signs in the EMR·
- Administer injections
- Fields triage calls from patients, pharmacies, medication requests, communicates with providers regarding patient status, and schedules appointments, when needed
- Responsible for cleaning and maintenance of instruments and equipment.
- Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens, give injections and track results and relay information to patients a directed.
- Documents in the EMR any pertinent patient communications.
- Set-up and assist with in-office procedures
- Reorders and maintains inventory as necessary
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
- Perform prior authorizations for medications and other ancillary testing
- Provide back-up coverage for front office as needed
Skills
- Certified Medical Assistant Required

- Proven working experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical office (2 years preferred)
- Experience working in an Ear, Nose and Throat clinic preferred
- Phlebotomy
- Ability to provide basic life support measures when required
- Excellent customer service
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols
- Skilled in providing compassionate patient care
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
