Medical Assistant

We are a high volume private practice Neurosurgery office that has been in practice for nearly 20 years. We are seeking a hardworking, personable, and excited new member to join our team as a Medical Assistant.

Key requirements include: proficiency in medical terminology, comfortably take vitals, exceptional communication skills with patients and team members, proficiency in insurance authorization and portals, and proficiency in typing.

```Duties```
- Perform medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and billing.
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Prepare patients for X-ray imaging and assist with the process.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers.
- Provide basic life support in emergency situations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.

```Requirements```
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program or equivalent experience.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and coding.
- Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
- Experience with electronic health records systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
