Medical Assistant in the Dermatology Office of Dr. Alan J. Liftin

Pay is $19-$22 hourly

Full-time and Part-time positions available

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to become a part of our team as soon as possible! You will perform routine administrative duties to keep the medical office running smoothly, and clinical assignments under the direction of a physician. This position is perfect for pre-health students interested in a medical/health field career and is a great opportunity to gain clinical hours and experience while working closely with a physician.

*No MA certification required* Training will be on site.

Responsibilities

· Assist the physician in medical visits, minor surgical, and cosmetic procedures

· Scribe patient notes on histories, progress, and procedures into medical chart software

· Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff

· Enter and assist with medical, laboratory, and pharmacy/medication information for patient treatment

· Handle administrative duties in a timely manner

· Communicate with insurance companies for medical coverage and proper billing procedures

· Escort patients into exam rooms

· Help maintain the office supplies and filing

Qualifications

· Undergraduate College Degree A MUST; Ideal candidate has a strong interest in medicine and a plan to pursue a medical career

. Attention to detail; Strong organizational skills

· Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise

· Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

· Interest in the medical field
