Medical Assistant’s Responsibilities
- Review and maintain charts to ensure completeness/EMR guidelines with reviewing clients.
- Escort patients from the waiting area to the triage area.
- Review initial vital signs evaluation to include any lab specimens.
- Clean and sterilize equipment using approved techniques.
Medical Assistant’s Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED and a complete certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
- Previous Medical Assistant experience is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
- The ability to type up to 50 words per minute is required.
- Essential knowledge of the healthcare field/medical specialty is required.
