Amazon Studios, the original film and series production arm of Prime Video is seeking a production industry technology specialist to enable our technology vision for our productions.
The Technology Services team is looking for a Production Workflow Engineer who will be responsible for configuring and deploying approved technology to our Amazon Studios productions. This includes partnering with adjacent technology teams to assess the security requirements of productions, and consultation during the preparation stages. After selection, the engineer will be directly involved with implementing those plans throughout prep, principal photography and post production. In this role you will support technology infrastructure and network solutions that adhere to Content Security procedures and policies. On a day-to-day basis, the Production Workflow Engineer will act as the first point of contact on technology matters for cast and crew and Studios personnel.
Key job responsibilities
Meet with technical supervisors on productions to discuss workflows, security, and budget
Configure implementations and collaborate with productions and internal teams to ensure stability
Receive technical escalations and troubleshoot to resolve issues, then document root cause and suggested corrective actions
Partner with adjacent programs to mechanize technology deployment on future productions, including preconfigured templates, documented trade-offs and evangelizing the suggested workflow architecture
Partner with Content Security to enforce enterprise class security policy and configure mechanized governance including alarming, monitoring and other technical auditing automation

Basic qualifications
Experience with deploying technical solutions to productions with an emphasis on automation, simplicity, and security. Experience with Networking, IT, and Technology in the content creation industry (Movie or Series, VFX, etc.) Experience with industry standard content transfer technologies Understanding of AWS technologies Understanding of network and storage platforms for production and post production locations Understanding of secure network principles of perimeter devices, servers, and workstations Understanding of Directory Services (e.g., Active Directory, Open Directory, LDAP) including IDPs and associated solutions
Preferred qualifications
Prior experience in the film/entertainment industry with experience working on set in a high-stress environment preferred Analytical, organizational and decision-making skills Network hardening best practices for both client endpoints, firewalls, and switches Thorough knowledge of feature film production and post-production industries, services, and workflows (e.g., DI, dubbing, editing, encoding, localization, VFX, etc.) Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
