Overview

Join us as a Mechanical Testing Technician and see how your variety of routine and non-routine testing make a difference and how critical it is to helping us deliver on our purpose and achieve our goals. In this position you will  perform tests and report testing evaluations. Work is to be performed in accordance with established QA procedures.

Salary: $20-$25/hr

 

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and operate all equipment necessary to perform testing in the Mechanical Lab
  • Performs daily verifications and adjusts equipment baselines accordingly
  • Performs RTT/ETT tests, Charpy impacts, Fracture Toughness, Hardness, Stress/Creep Rupture, Full size Fastener testing, Pressure testing
  • Schedules/Performs internal calibration/maintenance of equipment
  • Insures that ample supplies are available for operation of Mechanical Testing area
  • Interacts periodically with customers

This is a fast-paced environment, and we need someone who is proactive, self-motivated and a team player. The person for this role will be a specialist in their field, respected by all who they work with, keen to learn and enthusiastic in the face of challenge. You will:

  • Working knowledge of laboratory safety
  • HS diploma/GED or Tech school certificate preferred
  • Experience in a testing related field preferred
  • Analyzes and compiles testing data from the tests performed
  • Basic understanding of testing concepts

NOTE:  This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services.  U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon the employer obtaining the necessary export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the U.S. Department of Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security, the U.S. Department of State's Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, or other applicable government agency.
