Mechanical Maintenance Planner

What You'll Be Doing
Job Scope: Improve maintenance efficiency, effectiveness, and quality by evaluating and performing analysis of planned and executed work activities for the site.
Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Develop clean sheet reviews of maintenance work plans.
• Develop clean sheet package for review of planning and execution comparison data.
• Evaluate and document planning packages and scopes for discrepancies against executed work activities.
• Perform field evaluation of executed work and develop "good hours" analysis as compared to charged work hours. (Est. 80-120 packages per month)
• Perform and document field summary of waste trends for management review.
• Perform and document field summary of quality issues noted during analysis for month end reporting.
• Develop and manage data trends and analytics for monthly performance reviews with planning, scheduling, and execution teams.
• Prepare month end performance metrics for contract teams that can be trended by craft line, area, and/or order type.
• Host performance reviews and provide detailed data supported analysis of performance with site contract teams regarding efficiency, and productivity.
• Identify waste opportunities within work processes and procedures to drive efficiency and productivity of maintenance teams.

Ideal Background
Critical Knowledge:

• Competent in maintenance planning and scheduling methods.
• Experience utilizing SAP R3 Plant Maintenance module.
• Experience utilizing SAP Purchasing and MRO Stores module.
• Understanding of maintenance organizational resource roles and interactions necessary to manage work.

Critical Skills:

• Leadership skills.
• Working knowledge and ability to use:

• SAP R3 Plant Maintenance Module.
• Microsoft Office software.

• Visualization of job execution and outlining the requirements.
• Detailed job planning.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Critical Experience:

• High School Diploma
• 10+ years of substantial petro chemical maintenance experience. (Maintenance craft experience preferred)
• Maintenance or construction supervisory experience preferred.
• Management of 3rd party contractors. Ability to develop a work scope, develop detailed purchase requisition and/or SOW for RFQ on service activities, and the ability to oversee field work performed by 3rd party contractor.

• Keep current on SAP R3 Plant Maintenance module.
• Keep current on industry planning and scheduling tools.
• Flexibility to respond to changing work scope, equipment availability, and business needs.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time.
