Mechanical Engineering Intern

As a Mechanical Engineering Intern – Adjustable Bed you will have the opportunity to engage with many functional areas of the business unit, including sales, manufacturing, supply chain, and customer support. This position is located at the IDEA Center in Carthage, MO.

So, what will you be doing as a Mechanical Engineering Intern - GSG?

• Design mechanical systems and build prototypes to prove concepts
• Knowledgeable in designing coordinated motion systems
• Perform engineering calculations
• Create and revise detailed drawings and bill of materials
• Knowledgeable in MS Office (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Knowledgeable in 3D modeling (i.e. SolidWorks)

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

• Working towards Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
• Demonstrated experience in many of the listed responsibilities
• Communicate and interact effectively with co-workers
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical departments
• Self-motivated, organized, attentive to detail
