Summary
We are looking for an awesome senior Mechanical Engineer to join our research and development department. We are creating and introducing a new series of CT offerings in the marketplace. You will be joining a diverse R&D group that develops high end medical device products for major and developing OEM partners and have a lot of fun doing it. If you can handle challenging product requirements and deadlines, work with a broad range of technical backgrounds, handle success and failure with an indomitable spirit, and work through the rigors of R&D work - we would love to talk to you!
The ideal Mechanical Engineer will have extensive experience stress / strain analysis, thermal design, product design and product life cycle management, materials, and finite element analysis. They will be responsible for leading the mechanical design development of CT tubes, mentoring younger engineers, and life cycle testing. This includes hands-on development X-ray tube design, design verification, material and sub-assembly design and testing, manufacturing transfer, support of the product through is life cycle, as well as customer integration support.
Skill Requirements:
• Medical device experience or working in a regulated design environment
• Experienced stress analysis
• Experienced heat transfer and thermodynamics
• Strong experience in finite element analysis
• Experience product design
• ANSYS and SolidWorks / 3D CAD
• Strong experience with prototyping and production
• Vacuum technology
• Solid mechanics
• Strength of materials
• Generate requirements and design documents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
• Ability to collaborate on electro-mechanical design
Skill Desired:
• Familiar with electrostatic, charged particle, and electron optics simulation (Opera / Maxwell)
• Matlab or other data analysis skills a plus
• Patience for problem solving
• Highly motivated and self-driven
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
• Ability to mentor other engineers
• Be awesome
Education:
MS degree in applicable discipline with 3+ years of experience or BS degree with 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and finite element analysis.
