General Responsibilities:
As a proficient registered professional engineer, you will be responsible for applying conventional aspects of HVAC, medical gas, and plumbing design engineering. Additionally, you will supervise multi-discipline teams of engineers and designers. Your duties will encompass administering all project phases from proposal development through construction completion. You will have primary responsibility for budgeting, scheduling, planning, design, and specification writing for assigned projects, with the authority to direct, control, and monitor all activities across multiple projects simultaneously.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
- Professional Engineer License
- Experience and familiarity with FGI Guidelines, NFPA-99, and NEC requirements for backup power for HVAC
- Comfortable and capable of presenting complex engineering concepts to clients, industry partners, and colleagues
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Knowledge of DOH or OSHPD codes, standards, PINS, and CANS is advantageous
Working Knowledge:
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience as a mechanical design engineer within a consulting engineering firm, designing mechanical systems for facilities/buildings
- Strong Mechanical/HVAC design proficiency in healthcare, federal, higher education, aviation, or waterfront-related projects
- Effective communication skills for oral presentations and written communications
- Ability to thrive under pressure, manage and prioritize multiple projects
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, creativity, self-motivation, and enthusiasm
- Proficient in interpersonal communication and maintaining client relationships
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook
