Mesotech invites aspiring Mechanical Engineer Interns to be part of our dedicated team. As a Mechanical Engineer Intern, your role will primarily focus on assisting in the mechanical design processes crucial to our instrumentation systems. Key responsibilities include contributing to the development of mechanical designs, drafting in SolidWorks, and collaborating with our experienced engineering team to optimize and enhance design solutions.
The position offers a hands-on experience, allowing interns to engage deeply with design software such as SolidWorks and participate actively in various stages of the design process. This opportunity is complemented by substantial guidance and mentorship from our seasoned engineering team. Interns are expected to commit 10-20 hours weekly during the school year, with the opportunity to extend up to 40 hours weekly during the summer period.
This is an on-site position at our Rancho Cordova, CA facility.
Minimum qualifications:
- Must be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university or have graduated within one year of start date
- Must be enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering or related major
- Must be interested in pursuing a Mechanical Engineering career
- Ability to grasp, learn, and understand basic operation and maintenance procedures for mechanical equipment and systems
- Requires access to ITAR restricted information (must be US Person)
- Subject to thorough pre-employment background check
The base pay range for this position is $22 to $25 per hour. All personal information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
